SPARK Training: Accumulation Assays and the Data Analysis Project

March 26, 2020 • 11:00 AM (ET) / 8:00 AM (PT) / 4:00 PM (GMT)

The Shared Platform for Antibiotic Research and Knowledge (SPARK) is a cloud-based, virtual laboratory that enables scientists to access and share data, learn from past research – including previously unpublished data, and generate new insights into how molecules enter and stay inside of Gram-negative bacteria.  To support these goals, SPARK now provides access to accumulation assay data from published sources and has an additional project where users can create and share data analyses such as strain-specific MIC:IC50 and MIC:MIC calculations, which users can then leverage to create computational models.

Join us on Thursday, March 26th at 11AM (ET) / 8AM (PT) / 4PM (GMT) for a one hour webinar focused on the new Data Analysis Project and Curated Accumulation data in SPARK.  Following this webinar, users will be able to:

  • navigate and utilize the Data Analysis project for MIC:MIC and MIC:IC50 comparisons.
  • navigate the Curated Accumulation data and distinguish the experimental differences in accumulation assay methodologies.

There will be opportunities to ask questions during the webinar.  You may also submit questions in advance of the webinar to SPARK-data@pewtrusts.org by Tuesday, March 24th.

A recording of the webinar will be available for registered SPARK users to access.  To request access to SPARK, visit pewtrusts.org/spark-antibiotic-discovery.
